The second episode ofMoon Knightintroduced us to Mr. Knight, and here’s everything you need to know about this different incarnation of Khonshu.

Moon Knight Episode 2, titled"Summon the Suit,“dived deep into the psychology of Marc Spector, the identity that has created a lot of troubles for Steven Grant. Apart from that, we learn that Marc is the chosen Avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian God of Moon. Arthur Hollow, on the other hand, was the previous"Fist of vengeance"forKhonshu, but he doesn’t agree with Khonshu’s method of retribution. According to Arthur, Khonshu’s punishment comes too late, andAmmit’smethod of justice comes even before a crime is committed.

Arthur tries to bring Steven to his side by differentiating between the methods of both Egyptian Gods. However, Steven doesn’t think that Ammit’s approach is just. Steven asks a simple question,“Would you kill a child for a crime he might commit 30 years later.“After this, we see Steven and Layla running away from Arthur’s sickened men and a hound that only Steven can see. And that’s when we see Steven summon a suit, but this suit is different from what we’ve seen in the first episode.

Steven Grant’s Mr. Knight Explained

Of course, Marc Spector and Steven Grant are two different people, but they share the same human body. So, why it’s only possible for Marc to tap into Khonshu’s powers; well, it isn’t. It turns out that Steven can also access Khonshu’s abilities by summoning a suit of his own.

This new three-piece white suit doesn’t give a superhero vibe, but it’s enough to keep Steven alive. It also grants Steven superhuman powers, but he doesn’t know how to bring these abilities to the right use. He tries fighting the hound after getting the suit and survives the ordeal, but eventually, he has to give control to Marc, who summons theMoon Knightsuit and kills the hound instantly.

In the MCU. Mr. Knight is basically Steven Grant’s version of Khonshu’s avatar. As confirmed byMarvel, Mr. Knight is Steven’s definition of a cool guy,“a svelte man.“However, this suit doesn’t make Steven a superhero.

In Marvel comics, Mr. Knight is the more intellectual version ofMoon Knight. Unlike his counterpart, Mr. Knight uses his brain to get things done. He uses his deduction skills to find a way across challenging situations. But MCU went with a different approach for Mr. Knight, at least for now. Unlike how he is portrayed in the comic books, Mr. Knight is a weaker version ofMoon Knightwho isn’t confident about his powers. So, he still relies on the capabilities of Marc Spector to defeat the enemy.
