Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2is likely the most notable video game coming up that’s set within the iconic World of Darkness universe, but it’s not the only one. After the announcement ofBloodlines 2earlier this year, two newVampire: The Masqueradegames wereannounced withCoteries of New Yorkand astill-untitled project from Bigben Interactive. While there are a lot ofVampire: The Masqueradegames coming down the road though, it doesn’t seem like they’ll really intertwine with one another, at least in the case ofBloodlines 2.
Recently when speaking to some of the team behindVampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2at E3 2019, we asked if all of these upcoming games would happen to cross over with one another. According to Rachel Leiker, the Lead UI/UX Designer onBloodlines 2, that’s not in the plans for the team at Hardsuit Labs working on their game.

“Bloodlines 2is its own thing, basically. We’re only focused on doing our story forBloodlines,” Leiker told us. “We’re not really aware, I guess, of the other stuff. We’re just hyper-focused on what we’re doing forBloodlines.”
This isn’t all that much of a surprise to hear from the team working onBloodlines 2. TheBloodlinessub-series within theVampire: The Masqueradeworld is easily the most popular of the bunch and many fans, I assume, would probably prefer it if it stayed separate from anything else that Paradox may be working on with the franchise. Still, it’s nice to have clarification thatBloodlines 2indeed won’t be associated with any upcoming titles, at least for now.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2is set to launch in March 2020 and will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Keep an eye out in the coming days if you want to read our full interview with the team behind the project.
