The Sinking City Remasteredis a reworked version of the original game, which first launched in 2019 forPS4, Xbox One, and PC (and later on Nintendo Switch).
The story transports players to the mysterious town of Oakmont, Massachusetts, in a chilling blend of suspense, horror, and sci-fi.
It’s essentially a Lovecraftian tale brought to life in video game form—now enhanced with modern visuals and performance.
The best part? Anyone who already ownsThe Sinking CityonPC, PlayStation, or Xboxcan upgrade to the remastered edition for free. The new version has been rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5 (the original used Unreal Engine 4).
4K Graphics and Technical Enhancements
The Sinking City Remasteredis a thriller set in a remote Massachusetts town plagued by mysterious floods. Eldritch Gods may be involved—but that’s for players to uncover themselves.
You play as Charles W. Reed, a war veteran turned investigator, exploring a dangerous open world filled with puzzles, clues, and lurking horrors.
Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the remaster brings notable technical improvements, including brand-new locations, enhanced 4K textures, and improved reflections.
