In Sony’sState of Playtoday, Naughty Dog announced the release date for upcoming The Last of Us Part II, and it sets to be the studio’s longest game yet.

Spanning over 2 discs,The Last of Us Part IIwill be developer Naughty Dog’s longest game according to game’s director Neil Druckmann, in its “35 year history”. This definitely sets the bar in terms of expectations and it is “Naughty’s Dog’s most ambitious” title yet.

Pre-Order Editions
There are few different editions being released for The Last of Us Part II including a special edition, Ellie edition, standard edition, collector’s edition and digital deluxe edition.
Special Edition
Available for $79.99 the Special Edition includes the full game (2 discs), a 48-page mini art book, a steelbook case, and a digital avatar set and dynamic PS4 theme.
Collector’s Edition
Available at $159.99, the Collector’s Edition includes the full game (2 discs), a 12-inch Ellie statue of the character playing a guitar, an amray case, a steelbook case, premium packaging, a 48-page mini art book, Ellie’s bracelet, six pins, four stickers, an avatar set, the digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, and access to a making-of documentary.
Ellie Edition
Available at $249.99, the Ellie Edition includes the full game (2 discs), the same 12-inch Ellie statue, plus a real backpack designed to look like Ellie’s in-game backpack. There’s also an amray case, a steelbook case, premium packaging, the 48-page mini art book, Ellie’s bracelet, a logo patch, a lithograph art print and thank you letter, a 7-inch vinyl record featuring music from the soundtrack, five stickers, and six enamel pins.
Standard Edition
Available for $59.99, the Standard Edition includes the full game (2 discs) and pre-order bonuses including the in-game ammo capacity upgrade and crafting training manual.
Those who pick up the digital pre-order will receive the full game digital version, digital exclusive PSN avatar featuring Ellie’s distinct tattoo and pre-order bonuses in-game ammo capacity upgrade and crafting training manual.
Digital Deluxe Edition
Available for $69.99, the Deluxe Edition includes the full digital game, the digital exclusive PSN avatar featuring Ellie’s distinct tattoo, PS4 dynamic theme, set of 6 PSN avatars, digital soundtrack, digital mini art book from Dark Horse, as well as pre-order bonuses including in-game ammo capacity upgrade and crafting training manual.
