Developer Aeternum Game Studios has announced a prequel to their roguelite game Aeterna Noctis called Summum Aeterna coming in to Early Access.

A title has been announced that precedes Aeterna Noctis, called Summum Aeterna, aroguelitedungeon crawler coming to PC via Steam. The title sets to have fast-paced combat with a unique 2D art style. So far no release date has been announced but developer Aeternum Game Studios plans to have the game stay in early access for a year and a half with plans to fully launch in early 2024.
The game promises roguelite vibes, a new Seed Mechanic offering different enemy behaviours, rewards and random encounters. The title will also have an even larger map compared to the first title. Be prepared for brutal fast-paced combat as you take on the role of a cursed monarch, with swords, shields, pistols and scythes.
Weapons, seeds, and gems all have rareness levels, ranging from common all the way to mythic. Higher the rarity the better the benefits. you may even design your own adventure by choosing world attributes, enemy stats and conditions.
According to the Steam page while the game will release in Early Access first, more content will be added through the course of this stage, adding further biomes, weapons and new features. Those who want to help shape the game with feedback can buy the game in Early Access at a reduced price.
In case you missed Aeterna Noctis is a fantasy setmetroidvaniatitle that challenges players to 16 levels, with 100 different enemies to face, over 20 powerful bosses and a plethora of puzzles.
