Bethesda doubles down on the launch window for the upcoming RPG Starfield, reaffirming the first half of 2023 as the launch date.
Starfield Reaffirmed for First Half of 2023 Launch
The release for Starfield has yet to be revealed but Bethesda has reconfirmed that the upcoming RPG will still be released sometime in the first half of 2023. Previously Starfield was slated for November 11th 2022, but was later pushed in May to this year.
On the support page of the official Starfield website, there are details that share “Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023.” That’s good news to see it written down, backing up the release date for this year. While we didn’t see a launch date announced at The Game Awards, this gives at least some slight update on Bethesda still aiming within the next six months. What we do know is that Starfield will remain a PC and Xbox exclusive, after following itsacquisition by Microsoft.

Recently the developer in December shared that they would be interested in putting asurvival modeinto the game, offering a much more challenging experience. While a hardcore mode might not appeal to everyone, the studio has entertained the idea of having one in future.
The developer has been keeping space adventurers primed with lots of new info on the game including its overall tone as well as describing the title as “hard sci-fi”. There are plenty of exciting titles heading our way this year, hopefully, this means Starfield is still one of them.
