Soulframe, the new and ambitious action and role-playing game, has revealed many new features presented duringTennoCon 2024, the annual event by Canadian developersDigital Extremes, also creators of Warframe. Additionally, as previously announced, the game will be available for PC in a free-to-play format.
Soulframe First Extensive Gameplay
Announced in 2022 and showcased with abundant gameplay in 2023, this year’s TennoCon has once again presented an extensive gameplay video of this adventure with a medieval fantasy setting and sword melee combat, reminiscent of the popular genre in recent years: Soulslike.
In an extensive gameplay video of almost 20 minutes, Digital Extremes showcases different aspects of the game, with new weapons, characters, and enemies. The game currently does not have an approximate release date, although it has been conducting some closed tests with players over the past few months, which Digital Extremes is using to take good note of their feedback and improve the game. This fall, they plan to extend this closed test to many more players.

Steve Sinclair, the head of Digital Extremes, explained the main differences between Warframe and their new game as follows: “While Warframe focuses on shooting, this one focuses on melee combat. While Warframe is super fast, this will be much slower and heavier. But it still has many similarities with the genre we have experience in.”
