Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw Demo Now Available

If you’ve been itching to get your hands on some Resident Evil 4 Remake gameplay first-hand nows your chance as a demo has just dropped. Fans of the survival horror can now download the Chainsaw Demo which as you might have guessed will involve a certain chainsaw enthusiast.

What’s in the RE 4 Remake Demo?

Capcom’s Spotlight stream hosted by producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi unveiled the demo during the Capcom Spotlight showcase. It has no time limit, so you can enjoy it at your own pace. The demo takes a look at events at the beginning of the game where Leon is tasked with investigating a mysterious village in Ganados. Giving players an early taste of combat, with them facing the first mini-boss of the game, the iconic Chainsaw Ganado. Players will also get to experience the game’s graphical updates that were received compared to the original 2005 version. The demo will introduce some of the updated mechanics and story moments.

Teasers of What’s to Come

We also get a quick rundown of some major moments in the short teaser trailers. The first shows Leon searching for the missing Ashley, the president’s daughter. Also his escort who suddenly goes missing in mysterious circumstances. We also get a quick sliver of the Chainsaw mini-boss. While we have seen some of thefootage in previous Capcom showcases, it’s great all get to check it out in action. The developer has also stated there will be a fix for the intense rain with the day one patch. So at least nothing will be raining on our parade come launch day.

The next clip previews Leon and Ashley together, fighting off the hordes of island’s inhabitants who don’t seem to be at all welcoming.

PlayStation 4

Finally, we see Major Krauser’s entrance and a few other memorable faces (now with a graphical face-lift) including the icon Ada Wong.

Capcom seems to be killing it (pun intended) with Resident Evil titles as of late. With Resident Evil Village bringing new flavours to the franchise, and now with another stellar remake releasing this month. What’s your favourite so far? Let us know in the comments below.
