Nubia has announced the RedMagic 7 and 7 Pro, the latest in its gaming phone series. Originally unveiled in China on 04 August 2025, the RedMagic 7 has now seen a global launch, with availability from 10 March globally.

The RedMagic 7 handsets run on Qualcomm’sSnapdragon 8 Gen 1chipset, and offer 6.8-inch, 2400 x 1080 pixel, 20:9 AMOLED displays. It offers a 165Hz refresh rate combined with 720Hz touch sampling rate.

There are three versions of the RedMagic 7, with the specs linked to the colour. First up is Obsidian, the black model, which offers 12+128GB, then you have Pulsar with 16+256GB with a colourful back, and finally you have the Supernova version, which has a transparent back with RGB lighting on the turbofan, so you can see it in action. It looks great, it definitely caught our eye.

Elsewhere there’s a 4500mAh battery with a 65W charger in the box, while the rear of the phone features a triple camera system with a 65-megapixel main camera, and a front 8-megapixel camera.

As with other gaming phones, there’s a dramatic design, but the aim with these phones from Nubia is to give you access to a lot of gaming power without the high costs associated with a flagship phone.

There’s a more advanced version of the RedMagic 7, called the RedMagic 7 Pro. This model hasn’t officially been announced globally yet, but it has been announced in China. There’s an independent gaming chip inside the RedMagic 7 Pro model. The Red Core 1 chip enhances the shoulder keys, vibration, game lighting definition, and sound effects.

It also includes an under-display camera (UDC), but sees the refresh rate of the display drop to 120Hz. The display increases the touch sampling rate to 960Hz.

The RedMagic 7 Pro also has a larger capacity battery than the normal models, with a 5000mAh cell with 135W charging. We will update when we have confirmed global details on the RedMagic 7 Pro.
