Whether the final product is different enough that the compliments stay and the criticisms fall away is unknown, but for a psychological horror game, it appears to be a very by-the-books affair, at least for our resident horror fanatic.
With religious overtones, seriously dark story beats and more to offer,Unholyhas the opportunity to be a seriously unnerving affair. Atmospherically the game promises a dark and dank experience, as any first person horror game should, and with similarities toStranger Thingswith the dual, parallel worlds it’s clear where the games target audience is.
