The2017 Tokyo Game Showhas given us a new trailer featuring a remake of the PlayStation 2 classic,Shadow of the Colossusthat is coming to the PlayStation 4.
Shadow of the Colossus - PS4 Full Remake!
In this new trailer, the footage we see is captured from the PlayStation 4 Pro running the game.
Shadow of the Colossuswas originally released on the PlayStation 2 to critical acclaim, becoming an instant classic. Over half a decade later in 2011, the game was remastered for the PlayStation 3. Then back in E3 2017, the PlayStation 4 remake was announced.
President of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Shuhei Yoshida promised fans that this upcoming version will be a full remake. While the game will be the same as it was on the PS2, assets from the PS3 remaster won’t used and will be completely remade for the PS4.
Developer Bluepoint Games, known for their PS3 remaster ofShadow of the Colossusas well as theGod of War Collectionand theUncharted: The Nathan Drake Collectionfor the PS3, will be working on the PlayStation 4 remake of the game.
