Independent games publisher, ‘Versus Evil’ ofThe Banner Saga, have announced their partnership with developer ‘Obsidian Entertainment’ today in publishingPillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
The full-blown sequel to the critically acclaimed,Pillars of Eternity.

InPillars of Eternity II: Deadfire,players embark on a dangerous voyage of discovery as they hunt down a god to save their own souls.
The originalPillars of Eternitywas a massive Kickstarter success that was later published by Paradox Interactive, well-known forCities: SkylinesandStellaristo name a few.
So, it’s unusual move for Obsidian to go with a new publisher, considering the success of the original’s crowdfunding campaign as well as the reception from players and critics alike.
In a press release statement, representatives from both companies have shared their thoughts on this partnership.
General Manager of Versus Evil, Steve Escalante said:
