Fans who have been late to theOne Pieceparty and have been saving the animated movies for a rainy day may need to bite the bullet and hunt them down onNetflixbefore the end of the month, when they will be lost at sea – or removed from the platform in less seafaring terms.

While Netflix seems to be the go-to place to get your fix ofthe extended adventures of the One Piece, including hundreds of animated episodes and the crowd-pleasing live-action series based on the franchise, a small bundle ofOne Piecemovies and TV specials—One Piece: Heart of Gold(2016),One Piece Film: Gold(2016),One Piece Episode of East Blue – Luffy and His Four Crewmates’ Great Adventure(2017), andOne Piece Episode of Skypiea(2018)— are now about to sink beneath the waves as the streaming rotates content for another month.

Still from One Piece Season 2.

The four titles occupy an interesting corner of the franchise, and one that many newer fans have perhaps not become aware of yet.Heart of Goldis a made-for-TV caper that tees upFilm: Gold, while the two “Episode of” entries are feature-length retellings that condense early arcs into almost seamless catch-ups – something that those wanting a crash course inOne Piecewould be thankful for in a franchise that comes with a lot of baggage.

One piece (sorry) of good news is these aren’t vanishing into the Calm Belt entirely, as long as you are willing to go on your own mini-adventure to seek them out. Crunchyroll has been expanding itsOne Piecefilm library and the “Episode of” specials and other feature-length offerings are already on their roster.

Netflix Seems Fully Invested in ‘One Piece’

Although the removal of this part of theOne Piecefranchise may be strange timing consideringthe incoming second season of Netflix’s live-action series– which is once again likely to create a surge of interest in the animated series – it is not a reason for fans to be concerned that the streaming is about to bail on the adventures of Luffy D. Monkey and his rag-tag One Piece-seeking pirate crew.

There is still plenty ofOne Piececontent to keep everyone happy on Netflix, and as well as Season 2 of the live-action series, a third season has already been given the green light. While it is a little hard to believe that the live-action arm will reach the same volume of episodes as its original series, as long as the show continues to draw in new recruits and make waves on the streaming charts, then Netflix will likely be behind its continuation.

AlthoughOne PieceSeason 2 has yet to get an exact release date, the show is expected to set sail again early in 2026. However, those with Netflix subscriptions who want to check out the collection about to be cut loose may need to clear up a day in their schedules for a binge in the next week or so before they drift off towards the horizon – or Crunchyroll as it is also known.
