It’s hard to believe that with all the success ofMarvel Rivals, we’re still in “Season 0.” That all changes on January 10th, when Season 1, titled Eternal Night Falls, begins at 1:00 AM PST.
Since its December launch,Marvel Rivalshas seenover 20 million playerslog in and play the team hero shooter. NetEase has given players several rewards to celebrate the game’s success, but fans are still hungry for new gameplay updates. What to Expect Gameplay Wise in Marvel Rivals Season 1
We’ll get some substantial gameplay changes with a new season ofMarvel Rivals.
So far, the only confirmation is the inclusion ofThe Fantastic Fouras playable characters. Their roles are currently unknown, but they’re expected to be a mix ofVanguards,Duelists, andStrategists. Don’t be surprised if Johnny Storm is a Duelist and Sue Storm acts as a Strategist. The Thing seems to make the most sense as a Vanguard, but Mr. Fantastic is the real curveball here, as he could play various roles.
We’ll learn more about two of these characters during the Season 1 Kickoff event on Tuesday, January 7th. Emiru, xQc, and other streamers will showcase Mister Fantastic and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) for two hours of gameplay. It’s unknown if Johnny Storm and The Thing will also be featured this week or if they’ll be made available later in the season.
Rumor: Marvel Rivals Leaked Build Reveals Upcoming Heroes, Maps
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals could include at least a half-dozen new heroes and new maps.
In addition to additional content updates, Season 1 ofMarvel Rivalsis expected to introduce a new map and balance changes for heroes.
Given their strength across all modes of play, don’t be surprised if we see some nerfs for heroes like Hela, Hawkeye, and Luna Storm. Other heroes, such as Storm and Black Widow, desperately need buffs.
