In Dalgeun’s viral clip, he found out where Somali was staying and followed him outside. He then proceeded to knock the streamer off his feet with a single punch before being apprehended.
“I just did what I had to do as a Korean citizen,” he said in apost on Instagramdefending his actions.

Now, months later, Dalgeun is asking for fans to donate to pay off a fine, which he believes could be as much as $7,000 USD.
On Instagram, the man claimed he was fined 10M won for his attack on Somali, which equals out to be around $7K. The YouTuber asked viewers to help pay for his fine by donating to his PayPal.

📰CORRECTION. I mentioned the “10 million won” fine that Dalgeun received. That’s an estimation, according to Legal Mindset. I’m sure Dalgeun can pay that off, but I don’t think it should be coming from his pockets, esp. if it means whipping Johnny Somali’s ass😉 $7000 USD?!pic.twitter.com/O1f4EYvTyK
However, according to Legal Mindset, a YouTuber whointerviewed Dalgeun in the past, he’s actually been fined 1.5M won, a little over $1K, but estimates it will be 10M. Additionally, that money wouldn’t be going to Somali and would instead be going to the Korean government.Shortly after Dexerto tweeted about the fine, YouTuber Cody ‘Donut Operator’ Garrett announced he wanted to pay it off for him. On April 30, herevealed he sent Dalgeun $4K, adding that the SEAL had already crowdfunded the rest.
