Kick streamer rushes to hospital after run-in with stray dog leaves her injured
Kick streamer ShakoMako was walking down a street in the Philippines when she was suddenly wounded by a stray dog in her path, prompting a visit to the emergency room.
IRL streaming can take many forms, but one of the most popular types of IRL broadcasts are travel streams, where influencers take their viewers along for trips abroad.

ShakoMakois one such travel streamer, who was broadcasting her experiences in the Philippines when an accident occurred.
Mako was speaking with a local while walking down a street at night when a dog suddenly whined loudly, out of view of the camera. After screaming in shock, Mako adjusted the view so chatters could see a medium-sized dog trot away across the street.

“Oh my god, I didn’t see it!” the streamer explained, having seemingly walked into the dog while she was adjusting her camera. “Did he scratch me? …I did not see it. I’m fine, but do you think I need to go to the hospital?”
Mako panned the camera down to show her knee, where she had presumably been bitten or scratched by the animal.

Kick streamer gets rabies shot after stray dog accident
Eventually, Mako decided to protect her health and went to a clinic to receive a rabies shot. She streamed the entire ordeal, where she was veryclearly distressedabout the giant needle being driven right into the spot where she was bitten.
Luckily, the streamer is otherwise unharmed — but things could have been much worse. Rabies is a significant issue in the Philippines, and the country rankssixth in the worldfor rabies cases.

In fact, there was a significant uptick in the amount of rabies cases in the Philippines in 2023, all of which proved fatal. That year, 71% of all rabies cases in the countrycame from dogs, meaning that Mako was smart to take swift action and get the vaccine.
Oddly enough, she isn’t the only streamer to have a recent run-in with animals known for carrying rabies. Just a day prior, another broadcaster had to deal withtwo bats that flew into his apartment— but luckily, in his case, he was significantly less likely to have been harmed or exposed to the virus.
