According to reporting fromDeadlinein April 2024:

Jabbari’s defamation case is filled with additional allegations of abuse against Majors that were originally kept out of the criminal case record by Judge Gaffey. Initially, the judge ruled the material too “inflammatory” to allow Majors to receive a fair trial. However, in no small part due to the defense itself, he later reversed portions of that sealing ruling so Jabbari could effectively respond to questioning on the stand.

It should be noted that Jabbari is not the only party to accuse Majors of abuse. In extensive reporting fromRolling Stone, two dozen sources explained how, “Majors was abusive with his partners, aggressive on sets, and a source of ‘toxicity’ at Yale,'” where he trained as an actor. Later, in a February 2024 report by theNew York Times, two additional women came forward to allege receiving emotional abuse from the actor, with it also turning physical for one of them.In October of this year, Majors' supposed-Oscar-contender film,Magazine Dreamswas acquired by a company which plans to release the film in 2025 after it was shelved in 2023 due to the controversy surrounding Majors. And only a few days ago, Majors announced his engagement to actress Meagan Good. He was alsocast in an upcoming science fiction filmand received the Perseverance Award at the fourth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards — both of which happened in June. One might say that the overall impact of these controversies and convictions on Majors' life does at least seem quite minimal. Only time will tell how the allegations and arrest impact the lives of all parties involved.
