Meadowlands Farm: All features explained
The Meadowlands Farm is unique as it’s the first Farm in the game that isclearly designed for animals. The Standard Farm is fine for livestock but pales compared to what Meadowlands offers.
For starters, Meadowlands has aprebuilt Coop and two chicksjust west of the Farmhouse. The Coop has a pre-installed fence and gate, so you’re able to let your chickens out during the day. You also start with15 units of Hayso you can feed your birds.
If you’re a first-time farmer, one of your priorities at Meadowlands Farm is topurchase a Silo. This structure automatically gathers any grass you cut on your Farm with a Sickle and turns it into Hay. You can buy a Silo from Robin just north of the Village.
The Silo is essential for an animal-focused Farm as every animal eats Hay. If you ever run short, you can head south the Marnie’s Ranch and buy some from her, but it’s quite expensive in the long run.
Finally, every starting location has aFarm Cave. Once you earn 25,000G, you’re able to choose to have it house Mushrooms or Fruit Bats. There’s no wrong answer, although Fruit Bats can help with Community Center Bundles, and mostVillagers appreciate fruit as a gift.

Is there enough space for crops on Meadowlands Farm?

The area is arguably quite large for a single player to maintain, but it’s nothing a keen or returning farmer can’t handle. If you play in a group, there’s enough space for everyone to do their own thing, and it is a great alternative to theFour Islands Farm, which is designed for multiplayer.
