While the Xbox Series S versions of games usually get the shorter end of the stick when it comes to visuals and other technical feats, you’ll be glad to know that forIndiana Jones and The Great Circle, that won’t be an issue at all – at least in the frame rate department.

In aninterview,Machine GamesCreative Director Axel Torvenius touted that Indiana Jones and The Great Circle can run at a fluid 60 frames-per-second (FPS) on both the Xbox Series X and S.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle Will Run at 60FPS on Both Xbox Series X and S

“It might be that we will release even more details in terms of specifics, technical details, as we get closer to launch, once we see all the telemetry on performance. But what I can tell you is that the ambition is that the game runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that, you know, it shouldn’t be compromised in the visuals or the experience of the product. It should feel cohesive, running smoothly at 60 on both.”

Indiana Jones Fans Are Debating Whether Or Not The Great Circle Should Be Fully Third-Person

The Great Circle will be predominantly first-person, with third-person cutscenes and traversal.

This is good news, as the Series S version of games is usually relegated to second-class status; it’s like owners of it are expected to play an inferior version, given its weaker horsepower and whatnot.

If you’reunfamiliar with Indie’s upcoming adventure, our sister site at Game Rant recently rana hands-on preview. In it, they discuss the combat, the visuals, and Indie’s famous whip. I suggest reading it to learnmore about the game’s core mechanics without anything being spoiled for you.

For Xbox Series S owners, mark this game on your calendar. Not only will this prove that the lower-tiered current-gen console from Microsoft can—somewhat—hang with its big brother, but it’s also a big deal that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is one of the few console exclusives Xbox gamers can call their own—at least for a few months until the game hits the PS5 in 2025.
