Ice Cube respected P Diddy’s work, but it gave him no reason to attend his now infamous parties. When asked about the disgraced hip-hop mogul, Cube shared that he produced a few records with Diddy in the ’90s and found his work to be great. However, Cube shared that he eventually lost contact with the singer.

Cube also shared that he never attended any of the Diddy parties because he was not the partying type. In a controversial statement, Cube also shared his belief that Diddy was being targeted. He reiterated to his fans recently during a concert that he never attended a Diddy party.

Ice Cubeappeared on Patrick Bet-David’s ThePBDpodcast where he talked about his old connection toDiddyand how he felt about the accusations against him. According to Cube, Diddy was cool to work with and played some great music back in the day. But despite working together on a few records, they lost contact.

Cube went on to share the reason why they couldn’t be in touch anymore. He shared that both he and Diddy had their own things going on. Moreover, Diddy maintained his acquaintances through his parties. Cube shared that he was not the partying type and therefore never attended any of them. He toldThe PBD podcast:
They was doing their thing, I was doing mine. You know, I’m not the partying type. I ain’t never been to a Diddy party. Ain’t never really wanted to go. But I don’t go to a lot of people parties. That just ain’t what I’m in it for.

Ice Cube went on to share that the hip-hop industry was like the“wild west”, where both the good, the bad, and the ugly will continue to happen. However, he also claimed during the interview that Diddy was being targeted. He shared thatsomeone was pulling the stringsagainst the Bad Boys Entertainment CEO. He shared:
I believe he’s being targeted. I believe someone has the power to pull the trigger to make this stuff. This domino effect happened.

Cube further shared that Diddy was cool up to a point before all the trouble started brewing against him. He felt as if somebody decided that he was their new target.

In aTikTokvideo that went viral in September, Cube can be heard saying,“Almost 40 years of rocking the mic, and I’mma tell you right now; me and WC ain’t never been to a Diddy party motherfker.”The crowd cheered for the singer as he continued,“You ain’t gotta worry about us on them motherfking tapes.”He then transitioned to his next song in the concert.
Diddy was arrested in New York City on September 16 and is currentlyincarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. He is being charged with racketeering conspiracy, sx trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prstitution. The lawsuits continue to pile up against the singer. His trial will begin in May 2025.
