While the main romance options inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthare Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie, Barret, and Red XIII, there’s a secret Gold Saucer date scene that involves the rest of the cast. It’s hard to get unless you know exactly what to do, though.

The secret Gold Saucer date scene has Vincent Valentine, Cait Sith, and Cid join Cloud on the Skywheel instead of a traditional romance option. It’s supposed to be a joke scene, but it plays out like a fun night with the boys. If you want to “romance” Cait Sith, Vincent, and Cid, you’ll need to be careful throughout your entire Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth playthrough since you can lock yourself out of this scene completely by accident.

How to Get the Vincent, Cid, and Cait Sith Date in FF7 Rebirth

The romance route for Vincent Valentine, Cid, and Cait Sith is different from the traditional romance routes in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in a major way. Instead of raising their relationship levels high enough for the date, you unlock their date scene bykeeping your relationship levels low with everyone else.

Vincent, Cait Sith, and Cid are the backup options for Rebirth players who completely ignore the relationship mechanic, so the only way to get them as a date is tonot have any other eligible datesfor the Skywheel. It’s super easy to raise a party member’s relationship level high enough for the Gold Saucer date, however, so you’ll need to deliberately ignore everyone for most of your playthrough if you want to take this trio on a date.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Relationship Icons

There are two versions of the Gold Saucer date for every character. If you raise their relationship level to four, then you’ll get theirstandarddate scene. If you max them out and reach relationship level five, however, you’ll get anintimateversion of the date. The only way to romance Cid, Vincent, and Cait Sith is to ensure thatno other party members reach relationship level fourby the time you reach the Gold Saucer date in Chapter 12.

You can check your relationship levels with your party members bypressing the L1 buttonwhen not in combat. This will make a smiley face icon pop up above everyone’s heads indicating your relationship level with them. These icons range fromgray, purple, yellow, green, dark blue, and light blueto depict relationship levels one to five. If any of your party members have ablue iconat any point in your playthrough, you won’t be able to get the date scenewith Cid, Vincent, and Cait Sith.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Gold Saucer Date Options

Also, if you notice someone’s relationship level getting too high, try toavoid using Synergy attackswith them since even those will deepen your bonds.

Since it’s easy to grow your bonds, your playthrough will become ajuggling actto try and keep everyone’s relationship levelsbelow four. If you’re gettingtoo close with Aerith, for example, you’ll need to choose to help out Tifa in the Costa del Sol battle during Chapter 6. IfYuffie’s acting a little too chummy, ensure to avoid her preferred mine cart route at Mount Corel in Chapter 8. It’s a good idea to have everyone’s relationship levels in the back of your mind throughout your entire playthrough so you’re able to make informed decisions and push everyone away whenever possible.
