If you’re looking to take the wind out of the Stormwing’s sails, you’ll need to fight the wind withAero/Wind Materia. If you’ve got someone likeYuffiein your party, you can use her Ninjitsu skills to attack the Stormwing threat, or you canfind and equip Materiathat will benefit you in this particular fight. Any Aero Materia or skills will do, as the Stormwing gets thrown right into the Instapot with these skills – that’s right, we’re Pressure cooking these bad birds.

If you decide to give these birds of prey a quick scan using the Assess Materia, you’ll find that their only major weakness is to Aero spells, and a glance at the yellow text on the left side of the screen will help reaffirm that we need to smash them with Aero Materia as much as possible to bring them down. While they’re Staggered, you can continue hitting them with Aero, as most other attacks are going to do less damage.
