How to Craft a Sandbike in Dune Awakening

In the first few main missions in Dune Awakening, you’ll come across other players, most with running vehicles and Sandbikes, even in the starting area.

If you are just starting the game, it’ll take roughly 4-5 hours more of play time until you may get the first vehicle or the Sandbike.

How to Finish the Across the Gap Mission

Go through the main quests and you’ll reach the “Across the Gap” mission, which unlocks the Sandbike. You’ll get the mission after finishing a few quests in the Wreck of Alcyon. Make sure toget some Spice-Infused Copper Dustand theHoltzman Amplifierfor the contract in the Griffin Reach Tradepost when you are already at the wreckage.

In the Across the Gap mission, you’llgo to Testing Station No. 2 to the east of the Tradepost. There’s also an open contract to get an Automated Poison Snooper in the same area, but this is not mandatory.

In the Testing Station No. 2, explore the laboratory and loot every crate you can. There’s going to beAdvanced Servoks and Particle Capacitorsin the area, which are needed for the quest, andyou’ll also need them to craft the Sandbike.

Once you finish the gathering resources objectives, you’ll need to fabricate your first Sandbike. Follow the objectives and research the Sandbike Mk1 Assembly in the research tree.

You’ll get all the recipes needed to craft the simplest Sandbike. At this point, you’ll get this quest before you get out of Testing Station No.2, but I highly suggest staying and looting more Advanced Servoks. Try to stay andloot at least 30-40+ Advanced Servoks before going back to your base.

Researching and Crafting the Sandbike

Once you have the materials, go back to your base andstart fabricating the PSU, three Treads, and the Enginefor the Sandbike. Keep finishing the new objectives, which are mainly fabricating and crafting tools and parts like the Welding Tool and the Sandbike Chassis.

You’ll also unlock new machines like theSmall Chemical Refinery and the Recycler.

Craft those machines anduse the Small Chemical Refinery to make a Medium-Sized Vehicle Fuel Cell, which is also needed for the Across the Gap quest. You’ll needWater and Fuel Cells, so if you stack all your Fuel Cells inside the generator, you’ll have to manually split and pick them out to use them for crafting.

Water is automatically added as a crafting reagent when you have some water inside your Blood Purifier.Water inside your Literjon will not work, and it has to come from the Blood Purifier.

Once you have all the materials, parts, and Fuel Cell needed for the Sandbike, the quest will eventually tell you to start crafting a Welding Tool Mk1 and build the Sandbike.

If you are having trouble finding the Welding Torch Mk1,go to the Vehicles tab in the Fabricator menu. The recipe should be available since it comes from the Sandbike Mk1 Assembly research.

Equip and use the Welding Torch while you have all the materials for the Sandbike in your inventory.

Building the Sandbike requires you tocraft and place all the parts individually until fully functional. Start with the Sandbike Chassis, and you can place everything else after.

When you hover over the Sandbike, each part should automatically clip to the Chassis. Place the three treads, the PSU, the hull, and the engine.

The quest should automatically progress when you build a functioning Sandbike. You can interact with the bike and go to the vehicle management page to check all the parts.

TheAcross the Gap mission should end after you refuel the Sandbike. Craft some extra fuel in the Small Chemical Refinery for emergency situations. you’re able to also add an inventory spot to your Sandbike if you crafted one.

Now, you can freely roam Arrakis in style. Just make sure tokeep your vehicles inside your base when you log out. It can decay when left outside.
