One of my favorite parts of Sea of Thieves is unlocking new cosmetics. While many can be purchased with in-game currency, some are locked behind premium purchases using Ancient Coins. When I saw theMonkey Island cosmetics, I just had to have them. But this meant I needed to get said coins.

App Stores

You can also purchase Ancient Coins through the Steam Store, Xbox Store, and Windows PC Store. This will be applied to the account tied to the store, so verify that it is the correct account. The prices and coin bundles are the same as above.

Ancient Skeletons

There is a way to get Ancient Coins for free. This is by defeating Ancient Skeletons. These appear randomly but are quite rare, making them less reliable. However, if you may defeat an Ancient Skeleton within 20 seconds, you will be rewarded with a number of Ancient Coins ranging from 100 to 800, with larger amounts being rare.

Season Rewards

Finally, some season rewards will give you Ancient Coins. This can be seen in the Season Pass. You must reach the required level to unlock these rewards, but this can help you get Ancient Coins. Starting atthe eighth level, you’ll receive a small purse of Ancient Coins every ten levels thereafter. If you purchase the Season’s Plunder Pass, you’ll receive a much more substantial purse of Ancient Coins for every 10th level you reach, starting atthe fifth level.
