HoYoverse has become a major player in the free-to-play gaming industry over the last few years, first with Genshin Impact, and later withHonkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, both of which have also enjoyed great success among gamers.
The company has revealed the release date for its 2.7 version update, a major content drop packed with exciting features. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming to the HoYoverse title.
Release Date and Key Features
The 2.7 update ofHonkai: Star Rail,titled"A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn", will arrive on Wednesday, December 4. This update brings numerous new features and marks the final chapter of the story before the Astral Express crew ventures into the mysterious world of Amphoreus, the Eternal Land.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the update, aside from the new story, is the addition of two new playable characters:
Beyond new characters and story content, other updates include an immersive experience for Trailblazers and a special event called"Cosmic Decoration Guide". This event will allow players to redecorate the Trailblazer’s room on the second floor using resources earned through various daily tasks.
