Glen Powell, well-known forhis roles inTwisters,Top Gun: Maverick, andHit Man, is donning a new suit in his major comeback to television as Hulu premieres the highly anticipated teaser for the upcoming comedy seriesChad Powers. Co-created by Michael Waldron and Glen Powell,the eight-episode series is based on Eli Manning, a former professional football quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion.
In the series, Russ Holliday, a disgraced quarterback who ruined his college career due to bad behavior, returns to the faltering football team in the disguise of Chad Powers, hoping to revive his career. Alongside Powell, Chad Powers stars Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Matfeld, and Clayne Crawford. With the series premiere seemingly right around the corner, Hulu released a fourteen-second teaser effective enough to reveal some significant shots of Glen Powell in his new role. The teaser also gives us a closer look at Holliday’s transformation into Chad Powers and his interactions with the other characters in the football squad.
As seen in the teaser below, which begins and ends with the phrase,“I got something coming up… something kind of big,“Powell’s performance seems crucial to the series. The following scenes show him in disguise as he joins the college football team and becomes a key quarterback, winning competitions and forging a strong bond with his teammates.
