We’re deep inGamescom week, the biggest August gaming event where studios roll out their new reveals.

This year’sFuture Games Showwas hosted by none other thanSolid Snake and Lady Dimitrescu,David Hayter and Maggie Robertson. They held the stage for90 minutes packed with announcements, trailers and previewsfor some of the most anticipated games on the horizon.
Highlights from Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025
The first big announcement of the event:1348 Ex Voto, a cinematic adventure set in14th century Italy.
From a veteran AAA team, it follows the story of Aeta and is coming to consoles and PC in 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem spoilers ahead
A brand-new trailer gave us a glimpse of what’s waiting forGrace Ashcroft, and it looks brutal. As a cherry on top, Capcom also revealed a crossover betweenNIKKE: Goddess of VictoryandResident Evil.
Hell is Usdropped a story trailer reminding us it’s just around the corner, launchingSeptember 4.
Vampire fans will need more patience:The Blood of the Dawnwalkerwon’t arrive until 2026, but devs explained its wild30-day time limitmechanic.

JRPG fans got a treat with a gorgeous hand-drawn trailer forLost Helden, though we’ll have to wait until 2026.
Fantasy roguelikeSerial World(with creatures very close to Pokémon vibes) is also coming in 2026.
Finally, the big one:Phantom Blade Zero. We got another gameplay deep dive, but still no date but devs promised news later this year.
The show closed withWitchspire, mixing crafting and survival in a cinematic trailer, already wishlistable on Steam.
And yes, the event also had itsmandatory extraction shooter:Active Matter, launching in 2025.
