The Blood Queen has arrived. TheHellboyreboot is set for release early next year, but it’s never too early to start building up some hype. As such, a banner for the newHellboymovie has been spotted in Los Angeles, California and starMilla Jovovichhas shared it with the world. While we still haven’t seen a shred of footage from the movie and still don’t really understand what the story is going to be, this image may be enough to please hardcore comic book fans.

Milla Jovovich, who plays the main villainthe Blood Queenin the movie, took to Instagram to share the banner with her followers. The banner features her villain, as well as the titular heroHellboy. Though, it’s not the versions of their characters that will necessarily appear in the movie. Instead, this looks as though it was ripped directly from the pages of creator Mike Mignola’sHellboycomic books. It’s a very stylish, eye-grabbing banner. If the movie can capture that tone, we should be in good shape. Here’s what Jovovich had to say in her caption.

“The Blood Queen has risen. Hellboy 2019 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles #hellboymovie #2019 #ladiary”

For some, no matter how cool this banner is, it’s going to be very hard to get into thisHellboyreboot until they see some footage. Many had hoped thatGuillermo del Toro would get to make Hellboy 3right up until this reboot was announced. That’s not going to happen and that remains a sore spot for many, del Toro included. However, creator Mike Mignola is very involved with this new movie and there are many reasons to think this movie could be worth putting on your radar, even if you’re a del Toro loyalist.

David Harbour (Stranger Things) has been cast asHellboyand, even though itdidn’t look radically differentfrom what we had seen previously on screen, the photos released of his version of the character look great. There’s also the supporting cast, which includes Ian McShane (John Wick), Sasha Lane (American Honey) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost). And getting to see Milla Jovovich play a crazy villain could be a lot of fun. Then there’s Neil Marshall, best known for his beloved horror movieThe Descent, who is directingHellboy, which Lionsgate is releasing on June 11, 2025.

If there’s anypossible cause for concern, it’s that release date. January is historically not a great month for movies. But then again, Lionsgate could capitalize in a big way by having no major competition around that release date. That is, assuming this newHellboyis as good as fans hope it’s going to be. There’s no word on when we may see a teaser trailer forHellboy, especially since it doesn’t arrive for another nine months. So while we wait, this banner will have to do.
