Dragon’s Dogma 2: Every Mystic Spearhand Augment, Ranked
Wondering which Mystic Spearhand Augment deserves a spot on your loadout in DD2? Here’s the breakdown.
Unlike someother vocations, none of the Augments unlocked through theMagick Archerrank-ups are bad at all. In fact, all five Augments for Magick Archer can be used for multiple builds because, in most cases, their effects are useful for all vocations.

5Amelioration (B-Tier)
Unlock Rank
Description
Reduces the amount of time taken forfallen pawns to revive(-1 second).
Pawns can die for a variety of reasons. From being clubbed to death by an angry cyclops to falling off a cliff to jumping in the brine, Pawn deaths are a fact of life in DD2. Reviving them, therefore, becomes something the Arisen needs to worry about often as well.

In most cases, the time needed to revive a fallen Pawn is a non-factor. However, in long drawn out fights against large enemies like aGolemor aDrake, this starts feeling excruciatingly slow. Amelioration fixes this problem.
4Voracity (B-Tier)
Recovers a small amount of Stamina when you deliver the killing blow to a target (10%).
Voracity only really works when you’re surrounded by smaller enemies like goblins or harpies swarming your party. In singular fights against larger enemies, this doesn’t really have that much of an effect.

On top of that, Voracity also only works when you are the one delivering the final blow. If one of your Pawns or another monster kills something, you won’t get any Stamina back to show for it. This makes Voracity more situational than it otherwise appears. Classes likeMystic SpearhandandWarrior, who are proficient in delivering final blows, get more advantage out of Voracity than other vocations.
3Sustainment (B-Tier)
Augments the physical Defense and Magick Defense ofpawns in your party(+30).
Sustainment is a great overall support buff to your party members, allowing them to stay in the fight longer and take less damage from enemy attacks. While this Augment works well in all scenarios, you’ll find its true value in the hands of a support or ranged Vocation that needs to rely on its allies to keep the enemy engaged in battle while they do their thing from afar.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: New Game Plus, Explained
Here’s everything you need to know about DD2’s NG+.
Having +30 to defenses is like giving a fully enhanced helmet vs. an unupgraded helmet to all your party members. The effect might not be obvious, but it’s there.
2Prolificity (A-Tier)
Increases the likelihood that smaller targets will drop items (+20%).
Inventory management is already a hassle in DD2, and thinking aboutmorestuff to carry on top of the stuff you’ve already picked up, thanks to your obsessive compulsion, can seem like a punishment more than a boon.
For most small enemies, you’ll want to ignore anything they drop to avoid encumbering yourself further. However, when it comes time to collectenhancement materialsfor leveling up your weapons and armor, you’ll find the drop rate for the items you want to drop is extremely low. And since most enhancement materials drop from small enemies, Prolificity can be a lifesaver.

1Ascendancy (S-Tier)
Augments the Strength and Magick of pawns in your party (+30).
Ascendancy is a direct boost to damage, both physical and magical to all Pawns in your party. For most classes, this is a nice-to-have quality of life feature that can make their party somewhat more effective.
However, where Ascendancy really shines is in the hands of support classes likeTricksteror Mage who are heavily dependent on their Pawns to do the heavy lifting. With Ascendancy is best combined with Sustainment (+30 to defenses), allowing you to essentially function like a moving aura that buffs all aspects of your Pawns, allowing them to be a lot more effective in battle.
