Out of all the projects, he’s most well known for playing Captain Jack Sparrow in thePirates of the Caribbeanfranchise. Despite this success, the past couple of years have been quite difficult for him both personally and professionally.

He married actress Amber Heard in 2015, and just a year later she filed for divorce and also accused the actor of being verbally and physically abusive. While the duo settled their divorce, in 2019 the actor sued Heard for defamation, the same which led Disney to drop the actor from the franchise.
