When Does Lunar Awakening Start in Diablo 4?
Diablo 4is launching a new event to keep players engaged with Sanctuary and offer fresh rewards. Lunar Awakening adds variety to Blizzard’s beloved ARPG.
This event enhances shrines across Sanctuary, granting powerful bonuses and effects, such as a 100% multiplicative experience boost for two minutes or earning Ancestral Favor reputation.
Season 7 marks the return of Lunar Awakening, but before diving in, here’s everything you need to know about its mechanics, start date, and free rewards.
FromFebruary 4 at 19:00untilFebruary 18 at 19:00 (CET), players in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms can take part in Blizzard’s Lunar Awakening event.
To fully experience the event, head to Ked Bardu and then travel north to meet Ying-Yue, leader of the Lunar Night Market. Here, you can exchange your earned Ancestral Favor reputation for Endless Ancestors’ Gift Caches and other rewards.
To earn Ancestral Favor, activate Lunar Shrines scattered throughout Sanctuary, defeat monsters using their granted powers, and claim exciting prizes.

Plenty of rewards await in this event. There are 10 reputation levels for Ancestral Favor, offering prizes such as a Radiant Spark and six lunar-themed cosmetic rewards.
One of the standout rewards is the newTrag’Oul’s Consort mount. Once you’ve completed all ten levels, you can continue earning additional rewards in the form ofEndless Ancestors’ Gift Caches.
