Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold over 25 million units worldwide while the new expansion Phantom Liberty surpasses 3 million.
Cyberpunk 2077 Reaches Over 25 Million Units; Phantom Liberty Gains 3 Million
CD Projekt Red has made a major comeback not only gaining anew concurrent peak on Steambut now surpassing 25 million units. The latest DLC Phantom Liberty has also done some big sales now reaching 3 million units which is pretty huge since it launched just last month.
If we compare this to one of the studio’s most successful RPGs,The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, this title had just surpassed50 million in May 2023, having been released originally in 2015. No doubt having a new chapter to explore in Phantom Liberty which brings not only a new storyline, but a new character featuring Idris Elba, has renewed interested in the Action-RPG.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has now extended the experience, gaining a further storyline, a new area calledDogtownand even a new celebrity character. Don’t fret as fan favourite Johnny Silverhand aka Keanu Reeves is still a major element in the expansion. TheDLCfollows a spy-themed thriller with some new experiences such asSide-jobsandGigsto take on. Taking on El Capitan’s requests has been one of my favourites as you complete vehicle contracts (side-tracking me every time). Theendingsalso have some player agency for better or worse.
