After the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team is back with Cronos: The New Dawn. This survival horror game is clearly inspired by Dead Space, and if EA is not interested in making a new one, it looks like Bloober Team is ready to pick up the slack.

The game is slated for 2025 for PC and current-generation consoles, and we have our first look at the technical side for the PC version with system requirements for Cronos: The New Dawn.

Cronos: The New Dawn System Requirements

Sadly, the requirements are a bit basic at the moment and don’t give us a lot of details of what to expect at different resolutions, upscaling methods, and target framerates. For now, an RTX 3080 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X is recommended for what I assume is 1080p and 60 FPS, which is the default recommended preset for a lot of modern titles.

On the minimum side, you need a GTX 1080, which leads me to believe that players will have the option to disable ray-tracing, which I’m sure this Unreal Engine 5 title will have. The game looks fantastic, and if Silent Hill 2: Remake is anything to go by, you can expect a demanding release for PC.

Apart from that, you need 50 GB of free space to install Cronos: The New Dawn.

Cronos: The New Dawn Release Date

Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and the Xbox Series S|X sometime in 2025.

I’m sure these requirements will be updated near release with a better picture of what we can expect for different target resolutions and frame rates.

When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
