Cronos: The New Dawn, the new game fromBloober Team, has revealed more details about its combat mechanics. According to the developers, its combat will resembleResident Evilrather thanSilent Hill.

Combat Details Unveiled for Cronos: The New Dawn

This information comes directly from the game’s director, Jacek Zięba, in an interview with GamingBolt. During the discussion, he shared insights about what players can expect from the title. It seems that the combat system will diverge from the experience offered in Silent Hill and lean more toward what is seen in the recent Resident Evil remakes. These initial details have already piqued the interest of horror game enthusiasts eager to get their hands on this upcoming title.

“In terms of combat, Cronos is more like Resident Evil than Silent Hill,” Zięba stated. “The new Resident Evil remakes demonstrate how to intelligently blend old-school design with modern technology and gameplay standards. Each remake offers something slightly different, experimenting in new directions. This serves as a rich knowledge base for us to draw from, allowing us to create something that feels familiar and approachable to players while also being entirely unique.”

Cronos: The New Dawn

Unfortunately, horror fans will need to wait a bit longer to experience this chilling new title. If all goes well, Cronos: The New Dawn is scheduled for release in 2025. While that year is fast approaching, the exact launch date has not yet been confirmed, leaving more details about the game to be unveiled in the future.
