Red Dead Redemption 2 Camera
This mod brings the game’s camera closer to the way it is in Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s a bit zoomed in than usual, and while the effect is subtle, it’s pretty evident what it’s trying to mimic if you’ve played both games.

Remove Pillarboxing from Ultrawide Cutscenes
While Read Dead Redemption has support for ultrawide monitors during gameplay, it adds pillar boxing during cutscenes, which can be pretty distracting. Thankfully,a patch by Rose addressesjust that and is very simple to set up.
Quick Loot
Look, we know Rockstar put a lot of effort into the looting and animal skinning animations, but if you’re tired of seeing those play out for the millionth time, this mod practically removes them. It’s still a bit janky, but it gets the job done.

We’ll be adding more noteworthy mods to this list, but for now, these offer a decent variety, customization, and utility. We haven’t focused too much on visual uplifts just yet, because those tend to come down to taste, and often change the presentation a bit much.
Ali Hashmi
Ali has been writing about video games for the past six years and is always on the lookout for the next indie game to obsess over and recommend to everyone in sight. When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
