Need for Speed Unbound brings plenty of style and builds upon the high stakes dynamic established in 2019’s Heat.

505 Games Makes Some Bold Claims

The publisher 505 Games makes some bold claims aboutAssetto Corsa EVO, saying it will be “unlike any racing sim seen on any generation” as it features a full 24-hour race cycle, “cutting-edge lighting,” dynamic weather/track conditions, and photorealistic visuals. It even has a mathematical model that “meticulously simulates asphalt performance” during specific weather conditions. It sounds very nerdy. For those disappointed in the latestGran Turismo game, this might be a title for you when it launches in January.

“Hereat KUNOS,we believe in taking the time to get things just right, and that’s why the Early Access for Assetto Corsa EVO will officially begin on August 05, 2025,” said the developer’s co-founder and executive manager Marco Massarutto in the press release. “Our goal is to ensure the quality that all sim racing enthusiasts rightfully expect from a title like Assetto Corsa EVO.”

Corsa EVO will feature a “wealth of features and gameplay modes,” that are, according to the press release, “only made possible by KUNOS' new proprietary engine” that was created for specifically for the racing and automotive genre of gaming. The game will support VR and triple-screen functionality, so you may race however you’d like.

An Announcement Trailer for Assetto Corsa EVO

Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Ford, BBR, RSeat, BELL, and OMP collaborated with 505 Games and KUNOS to create a new trailer showcasing the game’s cars.

You can wishlist the game onSteamif you’d like to. The last entry Assetto Corsa Competizione received a four out of five score from our2019 review. It said, “The car visuals, and more importantly the audio, provides the closest thing to being on a track.” GameRant also called it one of themost realistic racing games ever.

However, it did also say that the content in the game was “bare bones even though being able to do a 24-hour race or a Sprint Race is nice.” Hopefully, Assetto Corsa EVO will have more to do alongside the impressive visuals. We’ll see when it launches into early access on January 16.
