Marvel Snap is a new free-to-play CCG (Collectible Card Game) that’s incredibly easy to pick up, fast-paced, doesn’t take much of your time per match, and is available on both desktop and mobile platforms. In this article, we will discuss if the Season Pass and the Welcome Pack are worth buying in Marvel Snap. We will try to be as objective as possible and we will cover both sides of the argument, so it will be up to you to make the final decision.
Should You Buy the Premium Season Pass and Welcome Bundle in Marvel Snap?
Let’s start with the Welcome Pack in Marvel Snap. It grants you 700 Gold, a Captain America Avatar, and a variant of the Captain America Card. For 700 Gold, you can buy nearly 900 Credits, which can provide many upgrades to your collection, depending on how effectively you use the Credits you have obtained. It’s a great discount and saves a lot of time you otherwise would waste grinding those Credits, so this is 100% an OK purchase to support the developers.

Now, let’s move on to the Season Pass. We’ll comment just on the regular variant, and we’ll leave the additional price tag for additional progression for 10 more levels on the Season Pass up to you.
So, to summarize and get on some middle ground here: play as a free-to-play player for a while, and see how it goes. At the start, you will get a lot of Credits and you might reach a collection level of 100 within the first 8 hours of gameplay, but it kind of gets slower the further you climb up the Collection ladder. Of course, get the Welcome Bundle if you like the game, you’ll get the value out of that money.

As for the Season Pass, if you spot something cosmetic that you really like, take it.You probably won’t need to buy the Season Pass much if you are aiming just to have all of the cards that exist in Marvel Snap, so overall, compared to most other F2P games, Marvel Snap has a decent monetization system and if you play a lot, you won’t need to invest much money. If you’re a diehard fan of Marvel that wants to collect all the shiny virtual cards, by all means, go for it.
Remember to spend your money in moderation and take a look at what else you could do with the money that you intend to invest into Marvel Snap (because some people spend a lot of money by spending it in small increments, not noticing how far they’ve gone over time). Personally, I have bought both for the purposes of research for this article and raised my collection level by about 60 levels (I could have gone up to 70-80 but I wanted some of my boss cards to be very, VERY shiny) and it did help me get a few new cards to complete some other decks they wouldn’t work without, and now I can play something else. Will I buy another Season Pass? Not right now.I am halfway done with getting all of the cards after 60 hours of playtime and I will just patiently follow our Collection guide linked above.
