If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it’s creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reported Yokai in the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.

Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao andYasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Aga Hontokuji Temple is found in the Harima region of Japan. It is located all the way to the southwest up against the lake.
The Aga Hontokuji Temple is in a hostile territory, so stealth or combat will be required to obtain these items.
Lost Page Locations
Lost Page #1
The Aga Hontokuji Temple is one of the easier hostile temples to raid. While it has a number of enemies on the ground floor, not only is the temple itself very small, but both of the Lost Pages are found on elevated platforms, meaning Naoe will be able to collect these by getting in and out without much worry. The first Lost Page can be found on the main structure of the area. Head inside and go to the middle of the temple where there will be two large buildings. Climb the biggest one to the east, directly to the right of the Aga Hontokuji Temple icon on the map. On the second floor, the Lost Page will be found under the roof. If it’s nighttime, it can be a bit tricky to see, but just go into the shadows to find it.

As stated in the first Lost Page section, the second and final Lost Page is also on elevated ground, so sneaking around is heavily advised. From the last Lost Page location, move west on top of the rooftops until you reach a plank. This plan is directly perpendicular to a tree branch that can be climbed, as indicated by the yellow markings. Hop up on the branch, and you will find the last Lost Page of the Aga Hontokuji Temple here. Who left the page on such a rickety tree branch is beyond us.
